Every new SAT cycle, I encounter students who haven't been given sufficient advice on pre-test preparation. I'm not talking about preparation for test content: learning Maths skills, Grammar rules, test-taking strategies, etc. I'm talking about logistics...planning details that can make a big difference! Taking the SAT is stressful enough without having to deal with the extra chaos that comes with last-minute computer updates, forgotten equipment or missing documentation… (oh, you didn’t know there is required documentation for entry? 😳)
So as we begin the new school year - and a new cycle of SAT tests - I've decided to share one of my favourite resources: my "Must-Remember" SAT planning checklist. This “Must-remember” checklist is divided into 3 sections: “Think Ahead”, “The Night Before”, and “On Test Day Morning”. The goal is to PREVENT chaos, REDUCE stress, and MAXIMIZE your ability to focus on what really matters – the test!
My students love using it, and it’s yours for free. Go to my blog post - print out the checklist and check off each item once done. Yes, really, PRINT it. Stick it on your mirror, or the refrigerator. (Trust me, this dinosaur method really works.) Good luck on test day!
